‘It was a hasty marriage, my family asked me to go ahead if I wanted to marry him’

The new vlog of social media influencer Diya Krishna, daughter of leader Krishna Kumar, is becoming a major topic of discussion on social media. Her new vlog was a reply to her followers' comments. Diya talks about her habits and married life in this.

Diya is also replying to the question on why she now calls her husband Ashwin’s mother ‘Aunty’, although she used to call her ‘Meenamma’ before marriage. Diya clarified that she calls only her own mother, Sindhu Krishna, ‘Amma,’ while Ashwin addresses her mother as Sindhu. She said she uses the name ‘Meenamma’ for marketing purposes and to add some fun to the vlog. Diya also spoke about their wedding.

The couple had initially planned to get married after dating for some more time. However, since Ashwin’s family was a little more conservative, there was pressure for marriage from their side. As the wedding was arranged in a hurry, did not get much time for celebrations or planning.

I was scared whether my family would agree when I told them about it, but they said, ‘If you want to marry him, go ahead.’ Ammu’s wedding was planned a year in advance. I didn’t have the patience to plan things like that,’ said Diya.
