KOCHI: Actor and filmmaker Major Ravi has denied allegations by expatriate Malayali Amjath Khan that he owes him Rs 5.5 crore. He termed the allegations false and clarified that he had no connection with an organisation named Thunder Force.

In a Facebook Live session, Major Ravi said he was not responsible for the alleged financial fraud committed by a person named Anil Kumar, who had introduced himself as the head of Thunder Force. He also claimed to have documents proving that he had no association with the organisation.

Amjath Khan had recently alleged that Major Ravi owed him Rs 5.5 crore. He claimed to have evidence to support his allegations and said that no progress had been made on a complaint he filed four years ago.

Responding to the allegations, Major Ravi said he was making the video not to respond to Amjath Khan but to clarify the matter to those who supported him.

He said a person named Lieutenant Colonel Anil Kumar had introduced himself as the head of an organisation called Thunder Force. Major Ravi said he met Anil Kumar at an event organised by the Malayali Association in Goa and later realised that he was a fraud.

"Anil Kumar must have taken money from Amjath Khan. When Amjath filed a complaint against Anil, he might have included my name in it to strengthen his case. I am not a member of the company's board of directors," Major Ravi said.

He further claimed that his signature had been forged to keep his name on the company's board of directors without his knowledge. He added that he had paid employees from his own pocket when they were not paid their salaries.

Major Ravi also said that he had received a cheque for Rs 45 lakh that had bounced.

Taking a dig at Amjath Khan, Major Ravi also referred to his remarks about underworld don Dawood Ibrahim during a recent live session.

"Amjath Khan might be grateful to Dawood. During Amjath's live session yesterday, someone asked him about my plan to kill underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. He replied that the Dawood I was referring to was just a local butcher. A butcher has more dignity and courage than someone like you. You go around with a group of Sardars whose expiry dates are over and who do nothing but sit idle. People like me don't need Sardars to shoot someone. I have spared you," Major Ravi said.
