THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Raveendran Nair, the accused in the Karamana Koodathil murder case, is reportedly not cooperating with the investigation. He has denied killing Jayamadhavan and alleged that Anil, the complainant, may have committed the murder to frame him.

The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court had sent Raveendran Nair to police custody on Thursday. His custody has been granted until 4 pm today. The investigation team has been questioning him since yesterday. However, the police said he was not cooperating with the interrogation and continued to maintain that he had not committed the murder. Raveendran has alleged that Anil, a native of Kalady and the complainant in the case, had held a grudge against him for a long time. He claimed that Anil might have committed the murder to implicate him in the case.

The investigation team had planned to question him based on scientific evidence. However, officials said Raveendran appeared to have studied the technical aspects and complexities of criminal investigations before facing questioning. Since he had earlier worked as a court employee, he reportedly came prepared after carefully studying the relevant aspects of the case. With the accused refusing to cooperate, the possibility of taking him to the crime scene for evidence collection today is low. The investigation team is planning to gather more evidence before seeking his custody again.
