BENGALURU: A man hanged his wife in Karnataka. The dead is Bhagyashree Jigalur (23). The police have arrested her husband Praveen Jigalur in the incident. The initial conclusion of the police is that Praveen suspected her of having an extramarital affair and this led to the murder.
He murdered her on Sunday evening in Bagalkot district of Karnataka. He committed the act at their house in Gagali village. After brutally beating Bhagyashree with a wooden log, he hung her. He then video called her parents and showed her how she was struggling for life. The police, who reached the spot after getting information about the murder, arrested Praveen.
Police said that he used to torture her on suspicion of having an extramarital affair. Bhagyashree had been living in her own house for the past two months following an argument with Praveen.
The woman returned to her husband's house on Sunday evening after he convinced to live peacefully. However, she was killed the same evening after returning home. The police also said that the accused recorded the incident on his mobile phone and sent it to his friends and relatives. A detailed investigation has been launched into the incident.
