Actress Roja pushes police officer after being stopped at municipality gate; video goes viral

AMARAVATI: Actress and YSR Congress Party leader Roja Selvamani allegedly pushed a police officer during a confrontation amid tensions over the local body elections in Andhra Pradesh. A video showing Roja pushing the officer has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place on Monday. Amid disputes related to the local body elections, police had put up barricades and fencing to prevent former Andhra Pradesh minister Roja from entering the municipality. When she arrived, police stopped her car outside the municipality gate, triggering a heated argument between her and the officers.

The video shows an angry Roja getting out of her car and pushing away a police officer who tried to stop her. She then walked towards the municipality and got on a motorcycle driven by a party worker.

However, police stopped her again by placing barricades in her path. Following this, Roja and party workers raised slogans against the police and staged a protest.
