Government announces Onam vacation for schools; exams to begin on August 13, classes to resume on August 31

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government has announced the schedule for the 2026-27 Onam examinations and school vacation. The Onam examinations for LP, UP and High School students will begin on August 13, while Higher Secondary examinations will start on August 14. Examinations for all sections will conclude on August 20. Schools will close for the Onam vacation from August 21. However, August 21 will be a working day.

If the government declares a holiday on any examination day, the postponed examination will be conducted on August 21. Schools will reopen after the Onam vacation on August 31.
