THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K Muraleedharan responded to the incident in which the accused in the ED case participated in the Onam celebration held at the Museum Police Station. He said there are some officers still in the police department unaware of the change of regime. The minister added that he hopes that the police will take action in the incident.

He alleged that the same officer who beat the Congress activists during the previous government, bought clothes for the accused. He said the name of that officer is not being revealed for the time being and added that he hopes that the home department will investigate the matter.

Meantime, K Muraleedharan refused to comment on the CMRL-Exalogic financial transaction case involving Veena, daughter of opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan. He clarified that the ED is an institution that is politically involved in the Center and that he has always taken the same stand in this regard. The minister added that the Congress will not interfere in Veena's case and let the investigation take its own course.
