Upset after beaten by male friend, lecturer commits suicide

KANNUR: A guest lecturer, who was undergoing treatment after a suicide attempt, has died. Th dead is Adithya Anil Kumar (28), a guest lecturer of Kannur University. She was admitted to the hospital last Sunday and breathed her last Thursday evening at 4 pm.

Her family said that she took the drastic step as she was upset after her male friend of Panniyannur Manekkara beat her. The Panoor police registered a case following the complaint of her mother. Anil Kumar is Adithya’s father. Adwaith is her brother.
