Massive fire breaks out in stationery store's godown in Angamaly: One person suffers burns

KOCHI: A person suffered burns after a major fire broke out in a godown of a stationery shop in Angamaly on Tuesday. The fire force team is continuing its efforts to put out the fire.

A fire broke out in the godown of Babu Stationery Shop in front of Angamaly Railway Station at around 4 pm today. A major tragedy was averted as the workers in the godown fled the moment they noticed the fire. As soon as the information was received, four fire force teams reached the spot and started efforts to douse the fire.

As per reports, the godown was completely burnt. As it was Onam, a large number of materials were stocked in the shop. The cause of the fire is unclear.
