Fake godman arrested for sexually abusing woman seeking solution to marital issues

KOZHIKODE: A fake godman was arrested for sexually abusing a woman in Thamarassery. The arrested is Anwar Sadath of Puthuppady Alancheri Kalam. She was abused when she came with her husband to find a solution for her marital issues.

The woman approached Anwar Sadath along with her husband to resolve certain issues. The accused gave the husband a coconut after chanting a mantra and then asked him to stand facing outside and recite the mantra as part of the solution.

The complaint said that when her husband was chanting the mantra, the accused took her to another room and sexually abused her. Anwar Sadath went into hiding following the incident and was arrested by the police when he returned home the other day. Police said that he is also an accused in a POCSO case.
