GREATER NOIDA: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed his co-worker to death over his friendship with a woman colleague. The deceased has been identified as Suresh, a native of Bareilly. The accused, Naresh, who was also injured in the incident, has been taken into police custody.
The incident took place on Thursday night on a service road near Sirsa Circle in Greater Noida. Doctors at the hospital declared Suresh dead after he was brought in. During the investigation, police found that Suresh and Naresh worked in two different units of the same private company.
According to Greater Noida Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar, Naresh had been in a relationship with a woman colleague named Bobby for the past seven years. However, Naresh became upset after Bobby recently started talking to Suresh. Although Naresh had asked her not to speak with Suresh, the conversations continued, leading to tension between the two men.
On Thursday night, Suresh and Naresh met and consumed alcohol together. During their conversation, they argued over the issue, and the argument soon turned into a physical fight. Police said Naresh then used a sharp weapon he was carrying to stab Suresh multiple times, causing fatal injuries. Naresh was also injured during the fight. After doctors confirmed that his injuries were not serious, police took him into custody. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
