PUNE: Love, surprises, flowers, and dance... the relationship between Ketan Vishal and his fiancée Siya Goyal looked like a perfect love story. However, the same relationship ended in a shocking murder case after Ketan was allegedly pushed into a gorge and killed by Siya.
Ketan and Siya got engaged in February. The pictures and videos shared by the couple on their social media pages made their relationship look like a dream romance. Their posts showed a happy couple sharing love, surprises, flowers, and romantic moments.
The couple was supposed to get married in November. They had booked a palace in Udaipur, Rajasthan, worth around Rs 17 crore for the wedding celebrations. Private jets were also reportedly arranged to welcome guests.
However, on June 18, Ketan died after falling into a gorge. Initial reports suggested that he had accidentally fallen to his death. Later, police investigation revealed that he was allegedly pushed and killed. When Ketan's family learned that Siya was reportedly involved, they were left shocked and unable to believe it.
A month after their engagement, Siya shared a story on Instagram with a cake and the caption, 'Cheers to one month since my heart found its home.' She had tagged Ketan in the post. In another post in May, she shared a video of Ketan giving her flowers and wrote, 'I like you very seriously.' Many people are now questioning how someone who publicly expressed so much love could commit such a crime.
Ketan was involved in the real estate business in Pune. His father, Vishal Agarwal, is a well-known businessman. According to police, Siya allegedly killed Ketan to be with her lover. Police said Siya was in a relationship with another man, Chetan Chaudhary.
On May 31, Siya took Ketan to the famous Lohagad Fort. Police suspect that the murder plan was made during this trip. On June 14, the couple visited the location again. The first attempt allegedly failed when Ketan managed to save himself by holding on to grass after being pushed. After that, Siya reportedly hugged Ketan and raised an alarm by saying, “Snake, snake,” to make the situation appear accidental.
Later, under the excuse of celebrating a birthday and doing a pre-wedding photoshoot, Siya and Chetan allegedly took Ketan to Lohagad Fort again. During the photoshoot, they allegedly pushed him into a 400-foot-deep gorge. The accused are currently in police custody.
