HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a doctor was charred to death after his car crashed into a road divider and caught fire. The accident occurred yesterday at 7:15 AM near Pillalamarri on the Khammam-Hyderabad highway in Suryapet district.

Dr K. Jagadeesh Babu, the Head of the Neurosurgery Department at a private medical college in Khammam, died in the incident. He was travelling from Khammam to Hyderabad, where his family resides. It is suspected that he lost control of the vehicle after falling asleep at the wheel. The car rammed into the divider, caught fire upon impact, and was completely gutted within minutes.

Dr Jagadeesh was trapped inside and unable to escape. When fire force personnel extinguished the blaze and inspected the scene, the body was found in an unrecognisable state; his identity was confirmed by checking the vehicle's registration number. The police have initiated an investigation.
