17-year-old girl gangraped in Delhi again by three posing as police

NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old girl was gangraped by three posing as policemen. The incident happened Monday evening at the park new Kalkaji Mandir in Delhi.

The girl from Delhi was sexually abused while returning from the Kalkaji Temple with her 17-year-old male friend at around 7 pm. After offering prayers, the two went to a park near the temple at around 7:30 pm. At that time, three men aged between 25 and 30 approached them, questioned them while claiming to be police officers, and then threatened both before abusing the girl.

On being informed, the police reached the spot at around 8:45 pm and took the girl to a hospital. Based on her statement, a case was registered under various sections, including the POCSO Act. One of the accused was arrested following an encounter with the police. Police said they were examining CCTV cameras in the park and had launched a search for the other two accused.
