Veteran actor Madhu celebrates 93rd birthday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran Malayalam actor Madhu, one of the most beloved actors of Malayalees, celebrated his 93rd birthday on Wednesday.

Cultural Minister P.C. Vishnunath visited Madhu at his residence, Shiva Bhavan, in Kannammoola, and conveyed his birthday wishes before draping him in a shawl. Actors Raghavan and Indrans also visited him personally to extend their greetings.

Actor Mammootty sent a message, while Mohanlal and Kunchacko Boban conveyed their wishes through Facebook posts. Actress Vidhubala also called him over the phone to wish him on his birthday.

Although no special celebrations were held, family members gathered at the residence, including his daughter Uma, son-in-law Krishnakumar, grandson Vishakh, granddaughter-in-law Varsha and their son Trilok.
Several prominent figures from the political, social and cultural spheres also visited Madhu and conveyed their birthday wishes.
