
THIRUVANANTHAURAM: Although the rains have subsided in the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the rains will intensify after three days. Orange and yellow alerts have been issued in various districts from June 27. Orange alert has been issued for Kannur and Kasaragod on June 29.
The possibility of very heavy rain has been predicted in isolated places. The IMD has defined very heavy rainfall as rainfall ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm in 24 hours. Rainfall accompanied by thundershowers is expected. Rains are expected to be accompanied by thundershowers.

Isolated heavy rain is likely. The IMD defines heavy rain as a situation where 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is expected in 24 hours. The IMD has informed that fishing should not be done on the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts from June 27 to 29.
