‘I was really scared to do that scene; I was unable to sleep’

Nikhila Vimal’s latest film, Dhoomakethu, in which she plays the female lead, is gearing up for release. The film directed by Sudhi Madison, also has Sajin Gopu, Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathi, Sidharth Bharathan and Manju Pillai in key roles. The film is releasing tomorrow. Nikhila Vimal recently shared behind-the-scenes stories of the movie in an interview, and it is now grabbing headlines.

Nikhila said that she was tensed while shooting the scenes under water. She revealed that she had already been informed about the water scenes and had told the director that she didn't know to swim.

‘When I told them that I didn't know to swim, they asked me to learn. I practiced in a swimming pool for two days. But they shot the scene in the middle of a lake. I hadn't even swum in a pond before, and the scene required me to jump straight into the lake. I was so tensed and scared.

We tried to shoot that scene for three days, but it didn't work out. Everything would be set up, and we would reach the middle of the lake, but I just couldn't jump out of fear. I even lost my sleep thinking about how I would do it. Finally, somehow, we managed to shoot that scene,’ said Nikhila.

The film Dhoomakethu is produced jointly by Happy Hours Entertainments and A & HS Production House after Sookshmadarshini. Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid, Sajin Ali and Abbas Thirunavaya are the producers.
