Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika face backlash from Mohanlal fans over Koffee With Karan interview

Telugu star couple Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna enjoy a massive fan following in Kerala. The couple, who got married earlier this year, recently appeared together on Karan Johar's popular chat show 'Koffee with Karan' as part of the promotional campaign for their new film Ranabaali. While the episode quickly went viral, a particular segment sparked criticism from Malayalam cinema fans.

During a fun quiz on popular nicknames of South Indian actors, Rashmika correctly identified Allu Arjun as the 'Icon Star' and Yash as the 'Rocking Star'. However, when host Karan Johar asked who was known as the 'Complete Actor', she admitted that she did not know. Vijay then jokingly claimed that the title referred to him.

When Karan clarified that the title belonged to Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, both actors reacted with surprise, asking, "Mohanlal sir?"

Mohanlal is one of the most celebrated senior actors in Indian cinema and is widely known by the title 'Complete Actor'. The couple's apparent unfamiliarity with the title did not go down well with his fans. Several took to social media to express their displeasure, while the comment sections of Vijay and Rashmika's social media accounts were flooded with messages from Mohanlal fans criticising their response.
