Mammootty goes back to his college days, reunites with former classmates after five decades

KOCHI: Long before he became one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest stars, Mammootty was a law student at Government Law College, Ernakulam. Five decades later, the actor reunited with the classmates who shared those early years with him.

Mammootty attended the 50th anniversary reunion of the 1973-76 LLB batch, joining his former classmates and recalling memories from his college days. He was accompanied by his wife, Sulfath.

The actor spent time catching up with his old friends and posed for photographs with them. Moments from the gathering were later shared on social media, giving fans a glimpse of Mammootty in a more personal setting away from the usual spotlight surrounding the superstar.

The pictures and videos from the reunion have since been widely shared online, drawing considerable attention.

Mammootty studied law at Government Law College, Ernakulam, from 1973 to 1976. After completing his LLB, he practised as a lawyer for about two years before pursuing a career in cinema.
