
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man has been arrested for issuing death threats against Chief Minister V D Satheesan and his family. He has been identified as Tony of Chirayinkeezhu. The police suspect him of having mental issues. The call was received on the official phone number of the Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commanding Center.
The incident happened last evening. The call came from the number 6238168522. He made multiple death threats. Tony said that he wanted to become famous by killing the chief minister and his family. The accused, who said that he did not like V D Satheesan, also asked the police whether the security provided to the chief minister was sufficient.
The cantonment police registered a case and conducted an investigation into the incident. The cantonment police registered an FIR based on the complaint filed by Suresh Kumar, the duty officer of the city police commanding center. Various sections have been charged against the accused.
