SRINAGAR: Around 300 tourists are stranded after a cable car stopped functioning midair in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir. The cable car carrying the passengers came to a halt midair this afternoon due to a technical fault. Rescue operations are underway under the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir Police and SGRF. It is reported that there are also Malayalees among those stuck in the cable car.

Gulmarg is a prime tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir, visited by thousands every single day. The weather here is currently snowy and rainy, thus attracting a large chunk of tourists from all across the world. However, the inclement weather is also hindering the rescue operation.
