Suhra did not know about the death of her brother; there is another story behind 'Feminichi Fathima'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The last day of shooting of 'Feminichi Fathima' was on August 31 in Ponnani. Only if the shooting is completed that day, will the post-production work be finished on schedule. The scenes involving Viji Viswanathan, who plays Suhra, the main character in the film after the heroine, are to be shot.

The shooting had just started in the morning. Viji's husband Vishwanath rushed to the location in a car. He interrupted the director Fazil Mohammed and said: "Viji's brother Abhilash is dead..." Fazil, who knew everything, was stuck in a difficult situation. Vishwanath, who is also a playback singer, understood the predicament.

After talking to Vishwanath, Fazil told Viji only about the next scene. It was the scene where Suhra was carrying the bed with Fatima, which was the turning point in the film. When Fazil called 'pack up' after filming the scenes on the seashore, Vishwanath informed Viji about the death of her elder brother. With that, she wailed and fell on her husband's chest.

Viji mostly reached the location straight from the hospital. After shooting straight to the hospital again. Abhilash, who was a painting worker, was undergoing treatment at Thrissur Medical College. He was diagnosed with cancer in the last stage. "Had we told Viji what happened then the shooting would not have happened. Feminichi Fathima would not have come to this film festival".- said director Fazil Mohammed. Feminichi Fatima won five awards, including the Audience Award for Best Film.
