Prachi Tehlan, a former national athlete and actress well-known to Malayalees through the film Mamangam, is now gaining attention for a post she shared on social media about her friendship with actor Unni Mukundan. Prachi wrote about Unni's personality after knowing him for the last seven years.

Prachi Tehlan:

“Saw him for the first time in 2018 while preparing for Mamangam, on a movie poster of Chanakya Thanthram, where he played a female character. That poster stayed with me, finding it extremely innovative and made me think, who is this one who pulled this off so well.. Little did I know that the very next year, we would be working together on Mamangam in 2019…. That was the start of our friendship, especially finding someone on the sets who could speak to me in fluent Hindi. He’s still the same Unni that I met on the sets back then..

I don’t know how many people know the real side of him, but through my eyes… I have seen a friend who has remained consistent with a childlike innocence that still reflects in his eyes, especially if you get to know Unni Mukundan beyond the screen.

A stubborn heart. A shy next-door boy image that he creates, notoriously, a ruthless talker for many. But I would still say that’s what makes him stand out from the league, as an actor who is a human being first, building his name proudly as a first-generation actor, which is never easy…Someone who can laugh at the silliest things and the silliest jokes, pull each other’s leg, and have hours of conversation without ever feeling bored or uneasy. I think that’s what I call an effortless friendship.

Also, the only friend who loves taking me out on a tea date. ( I love that!) Cheers to 7 years of laughter, stupidity, fights, leg pulling and many more countless memories of us.

Proud of you for building. Congratulations and all the very best for the journey ahead. I know it’s challenging every single day, but buddy, that’s the path we’ve chosen, right?

I’m always there with you.

Keep smiling and keep entertaining Superman

Love, PT”

Prachi, who represented the country as the captain of the Indian netball team in 2010-11, later entered the acting field. Unni and Prachi's performances in the Mammootty film Mamangam were well-received.
